I'll do R. Johnson (letters July 14) one better. I think we should all write Tim Stoen glowing letters of recommendation and offer to pay his moving expenses. In that way we can properly express our gratitude and make it clear just how valuable he has been to Humboldt County.

I think we owe Tim Stoen a debt of gratitude for his hard work. The fact that his former boss (the Mendocino DA) was so quick to offer him his job back tells you just how valuable he is. He got a bum rap up here. Being a prosecutor is a thankless job. Perpetrators never like you - just in these cases, the perps were well connected.
